<p>Now that we have a working prototype of the game-n-bricks &#8220;Playable Lego Atari 2600&#8221; we are working on a Kickstarter campaign. We want to share this to other Lego + Atari enthusiasts who also want to convert the Lego console into a working Atari console.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-67" style="width:394px;height:auto" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/campaign-post-img1-416x312.jpg 416w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">We are only using genuine LEGO® bricks</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>There are many challenges to bring this product to life, one of the most important is the decisions around how to offer it. We are certainly wanting to produce this using genuine LEGO® bricks to complement the construction set sold by LEGO®. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="2560" height="1706" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-68" style="width:596px;height:auto" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-scaled.jpeg 2560w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-1536x1024.jpeg 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-2048x1365.jpeg 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theBuilder1-1-edited-416x277.jpeg 416w" sizes="(max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px" /></figure></div>

<p>Also, it is important to us to offer the product in a variety of options, such as one that &#8220;feels&#8221; like a Lego build. For this type of product, creating instructions and ensuring that the build is successful is critical. We need to simplify the wiring, make the components retrofit into an existing Lego build and have the process be enjoyable.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-1024x683.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38" style="width:538px;height:auto" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-1024x683.png 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-300x200.png 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-768x512.png 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-1536x1024.png 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-2048x1365.png 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/all-electronics-416x277.png 416w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>We had to fit all of the electronics into the Atari switchboard. This also means we could offer a simplified product, if there is enough interest.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-37" style="width:560px;height:auto" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-300x200.jpg 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-768x512.jpg 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/thePlayer-border-416x277.jpg 416w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">A &#8220;easy to assemble&#8221; version of the Atari Switchboard component to conversion kit</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Of course, we could offer the Playable Lego Atari 2600 as a completed build&#8230; but then should we also complete all of the &#8220;side builds&#8221; like the game cartridges and game displays? We think those should be enjoyed by the owner!</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="622" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-1024x622.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-36" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-1024x622.jpg 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-300x182.jpg 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-768x467.jpg 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-1536x934.jpg 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-2048x1245.jpg 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/theFanFavorite1-416x253.jpg 416w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">A playable Lego Atari 2600 with the building bags and instruction book.</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>We are not sure how everyone would want to enjoy this product, but we are sure we want to offer it! Once our Kickstarter is live, we will try to get the word out.</p>

<p>And of course, our products are not endorsed by either LEGO® or Atari® but we will source genuine Lego building bricks and use licensed Atari electronics. We just want to enjoy our Lego builds in new and exciting ways, and we hope to share our products with you.</p>

<p>This is our Lego Atari 2600 with 130 games! The Lego switches actually operate the the game console, the controllers plug into the back of the game system and you connect it to your TV with an HDMI cable.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="594" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-1024x594.png" alt="" class="wp-image-44" style="width:618px;height:auto" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-1024x594.png 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-300x174.png 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-768x446.png 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-1536x891.png 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-2048x1188.png 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Working-Diorama-416x241.png 416w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>And be amazed as the console still has room for the Lego diorama!</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-64" style="width:613px;height:auto" srcset="https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-300x200.jpg 300w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-768x512.jpg 768w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://game-n-bricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/IMG_5216-416x277.jpg 416w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The console has working Lego switches and will be ready to play! </p>

<p>We are excited to introduce this after almost a year of prototyping. We found a lot of ways to NOT make this work, and finally found the one way it could work!</p>
